Mulching
We always recommend mulching of garden beds. The layer of mulch will help to keep valuable moisture in the ground for your plants root zone by not evaporating away. Each spring or fall is ideal for mulching. Mulch also lends aesthetic appeal keeping garden beds looking well manicured. Mulching your garden beds or around trees is probably the best weed control for the garden. As mulch breaks down, the soil is improved by added nutrients and beneficial microorganisms.
